A new chapter in the life of London’s original grand hotel began on Monday 24th May. From that date, the Langham Hotel, London - flagship of the Langham Hotels International Group - reverted to its original name. On that day, the hotel also became a member of The Leading Hotels of the World.
Langham Hotels International (LHI) is the hotel operating arm of The Langham’s existing owners, Great Eagle Hotels, based in Hong Kong. LHI currently owns hotels in Hong Kong, Canada, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
Kevin Murphy, LHI’s Vice President of Marketing & Development, commented:
“We are highly pleased with the news that our London flagship hotel is joining the prestigious Leading Hotels of the World, qualifying further the new Langham Group’s emergence as a truly global deluxe portfolio.”
Over the next 18 months, Duncan Palmer, the Langham ‘s Managing Director, is the person who will be steering this historic hotel forward. He explained:
“We have an exciting schedule of innovation and changes, all of which will be taking place over the next 18 months. These changes, together with the incredible experience of our management team, will ensure that the Langham Hotel, London maintains and exceeds the position it deserves, as one of the finest hotels in London.”
